Ingredients
- 2 Bananas, frozen
- 3 tbsp Natural peanut butter
- ½ cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups Unsweetened soy milk
- 2 Medjool dates, pitted
- ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- ⅛ tsp Kosher salt
Method
- Blend the oats alone for 20 seconds first, into a rough flour. Whole oats in a smoothie stay gritty; blended first they disappear and thicken it.
- Add everything else and blend 60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Let it sit two minutes — the chia and oats keep drinking and it thickens noticeably. Thin with a splash more milk if you want.
Notes
- ✨ The restaurant touch
- Freeze bananas when they go spotty. Frozen banana is what makes a smoothie thick without ice watering it down.
- 🧒 For the kids
- Freeze it in lolly molds. It is a peanut butter banana lolly with oats and soy milk in it, and nobody complains.
- 🥡 Leftovers
- Keeps overnight in a jar; shake hard before drinking.
