Ingredients

  • 2 cups Frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup Plain 2% Greek yogurt
  • ¾ cup 1% milk
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • ¼ tsp Ground cardamom
  • ½ Lime
  • 2 tbsp Pistachios, chopped (optional)

Method

  1. Blend the mango, yogurt, milk, honey and cardamom until smooth and thick enough to hold a spoon upright for a second.
  2. Add the lime last and pulse — it lifts the whole thing and stops the yogurt reading as heavy.
  3. Pour and scatter the pistachios over. In India this is served alongside spicy food, and it is a better fire extinguisher than water.

Notes

✨ The restaurant touch
Cardamom, not vanilla. A quarter teaspoon is the difference between a mango smoothie and a lassi.
🧒 For the kids
Leave the cardamom out for a first try, then add a pinch next time and see if anyone notices.
🥡 Leftovers
Best fresh. Freezes into a good lolly.
